Our Purpose
So, what's the purpose of our mission? To me I think that there are a whole bunch of reasons why were "going" to Mars. First because we never know when a bad situation will happen here on earth and tons of peoples lives will be in jeopardy. Second, because we need more room and space, for people are going to continue to multiply. Third, we all want to make new discoveries through experiments preformed to see if we can make anything better here on earth or maybe even cure a disease. Fourth, and what is really our motto, could be peace. If we make a whole new world out there, all of the different countries shouldn't be fighting their way to get to Mars first and get the most land, ect. We join our forces, power, and the things each country does best into one to get there the safest, fastest, and best way. We need to have peace on earth and if not here at least on another planet, like Mars. This is what we're striving for. So if for nothing else (which there are other things) we want to have peace and live in harmony with each other, with the world, wanting to do our best, dicover and learn more, stay safe, and join together as one.

What To Do
I think that overall our group is doing really good. Especially with rationing out work loads and such; we all just have to make sure we're doing our part. Don't you just LOVE working with Iran!!! Doesn't that just sound weird? But you have to admit it's been a real joy to work with them, pure funny. I'm really glad we joined up with them. Anyways down to business. Although we're all pretty much doing what we're supposed to, we might have to pick it up just a little bit more. I think that if we want to have everything ready for Wednesday, we are going to have to work a little faster tomorrow. The commercial has to get finished and as soon as possible, put on the announcements. Then Ethan and I have to finish the powerpoint we're working on and teh financial people have to get the amounts of money we're going to be using. We also have to figure out how we're going to get there and all the other little details that go with that. But like I said overall our group is really on course and doing good. Of course we must all know the key component for our presentation. I hope everyone does. It pretty much is that as the U.S.A. joins with Iran and we strive to get to Mars we are also striving as we get there for peace and that the peace will continue for generations to come. U.S.A. + Iran = Dream Team. This is just going to be amazing. I'm almost sure of it that the judges will just love our idea. They better! Well sorry for the really long post. Oh, one more thing. Everybody, make sure we all dress up nice for the presentation. Like Mrs. Cheney said, not overly dressy, but just enough. We are going to rock the house guys, because team U.S.A. rules!

progress
I think we are making good progress, working with Iran. We both completed our base for our mission up to Mars, with no left over scraps, hahahaha... now all we have to do is get up to Mars in a rocket.

How will your group market your mission?
We are planning to make a commercial to market our mission. We will do the commercial with Iran and use the slogan "America+Iran=Dream Team". It will probably not be that long, but will definitely get people informed. Somewhere in that we will also put information about our differences and how they are being put aside because of the mission, or something along those lines. Besides the commercial, we will probably just be making things with our soon to be famous slogan. Not really sure what stuff we will print that on yet, so start thinking of ideas!!

Robert Zubrin
I think that this guy, Robert Zubrin, made a really good analogy. Mars does seem to really compare to America, the Moon to Greenland, and the Main Belt astroids to the West Indies. Just like all of the challenges that the settlers faced when coming to America, we are going to face while and when we go to Mars. People died while moving to the American frontier, so we must be prepared for the worst and do our best to avoid anyone getting hurt (or something of that nature). For us this would mean that we should look at how earlier settlers handled moving and ajusting to America, as well as what they took with them, what problems they faced, and look at how they could have prevented it. By doing this we'll probably save ourselves some of the trouble on the trip to Mars. We will be more prepared and ready. But of course we never know what the unknown may throw our way.

Should we be investing time and money into colonizing space?
I definitley agree that we should be investing time and money into colonizing in space. There are so many pros that out wiegh the cons adn I think great things can be dicovered. there would also be more room on earth, too. Anyways adventure awaits.
